Music has always played a major role in Christi Bauerlee's life. She began singing and writing at the age of four, and spent several years modeling and acting in various TV shows and films, which greatly contributed to the artist and performer that she is today. Christi is currently performing and writing in L.A., Atlanta, and Nashville. She has taken the stage at various venues nationwide with many talented artists including Ricky Fante, Craig Morgan, Walter Egan, Jada Pinkett- Smith, Kimberly Locke, John Waite, Great White, former members of Poison, and Lisa Loeb.
As an artist, Christi became most notably recognized for her version of the Edwin Starr classic, "War," which aired every Monday night for two seasons as the theme song for the hit TV show Family Law on CBS. She sang background vocals for Neil Young, and has been seen and heard on Star Search, Days of Our Lives, Mind of Mencia, Lawless, Jake 2.0, Family Law, Something about Mary, Pensacola, Striptease, Saved By the Light, Gilmore Girls, SKULLS 3, Jay Leno, The Late Night Show, Grand Ole Opry WSM Radio, Westwood One's Young and Verna, as well as Adrienne Brooks Mainstream Country. Christi has been heard on 250 stations throughout the country and many more radio, film and television shows. She recently released her music video "Show Me Who You Are" and was signed to Luna Chica Records.
Christi not only writes her own material, but also loves to collaborate with, and write for, other artists in various genres including Pop, R&B, Blues and, of course, Southern Rock and Country. As an accomplished songwriter, Christi has received cuts from various artists in Australia, New Zealand, London, and in the United States. Her upcoming album, Show Me Who You Are, consists of all songs she has written and co-written.
It is Christi's sole belief that if you're given the gift to create music, you must use that gift to give back. For several years in a row now, Christi has performed at Ernie Irvan's L.A.P.S. WALK at the Michigan International Speedway, as well as traveled throughout the country lending her voice and music to help bring awareness to Traumatic Brain Injury. In raising more awareness for Traumatic Brain Injury, Christi has worked on a pilot/documentary project currently titled A Country Story, which documents the story of Christi's brothers' brain injury.
Christi also spends as much time as she can finding good homes for homeless and abused animals. She is a member of American Humane Society, World Wildlife Fund, ASPCA, IFAW, the Humane Society International. Christi also supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and has donated her time to perform for terminally ill children through the Musicians On Call program in Nashville.
Though Christi has seen and heard the ups and downs of the industry, she happily pushes onward because she could never stop singing, performing, or writing. In her own words she explains, "It's what I do. It's where I feel most comfortable...It's in my soul. It's every bit of who I am."
